In 1962, the Carbide Cutting Tools Department was created and the company' s name became FFDM (Fabrique de Fraises Dentaires et Mécaniques - "Manufacture of Dental and Cutting Burs"). At this very time, the tools produced were used on the new materials in the aircraft industry. From this date, the experience acquired was applied on other industrial fields such as car, aircraft, army, precision mechanics, and more recently on fiber glass materials.

In 1972, the company FFDM bought the company SEAI PNEUMAT (Société d'Etude et d'Application Industrielle - "Company for Research and Industrial Application") and so added a third activity. FFDM became FFDM-PNEUMAT and started manufacturing pneumatic machines (drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, die grinders …) whose main customers are in the car, foundry, general mechanics, joinery and aircraft industries.

In July 1999, the company located until then on 2 different sites, FFDM 26 rue du Pré Doulet and PNEUMAT 46 Avenue de la Prospective, moved to one common site : 78/80 Avenue de la Prospective - 18000 - Bourges - FRANCE.
